Why This Matters
Military life comes with unique financial challenges—frequent moves, deployments, complex benefits, and career transitions. Too often, families face these challenges without guidance from someone who truly understands the military lifestyle.
Through this partnership:

MQFP® Professionals serve as volunteer mentors within 3rd Decade’s nationally recognized program.

Participants with military ties are paired with mentors who have both professional expertise and military experience.

Military families gain fee-only, fiduciary, and mission-driven guidance—at no cost.
About the 3rd Decade Program
3rd Decade is a nonprofit dedicated to providing financial education to young adults in their third decade of life. Founded in 2019, the program empowers participants to make informed decisions and kickstart their financial success.
The program is designed for young adults who are:

Aged 18–35
Individual income under $75,000 or household income under $120,000

Full-time workers or homemakers

Ready to manage debt, build a financial plan, and start saving
Participants receive:

A financial jumpstart for graduates
3rd Decade’s impact continues to grow—serving nearly 1,100 young people annually with the support of almost 200 volunteer financial professionals. In 2024, the program was recognized with the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education’s Outstanding Educational Program Award.
